Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.

Research Interest

Actively involved in research at the Fluid Mechanics Research Lab (FMRL) in experimental fluid mechanics in the areas of aerodynamic and acoustic properties of high speed jets and the associated problems of compressible mixing and jet noise. Also interested in the development and use of advanced diagnostics, especially non intrusive techniques, for fluid dynamics applications. Some recent research areas include the following:

  •   Aeroacoustics of supersonic jets and jets with counterflow.
  •   Study of highly compressible countercurrent shear layers.
  •   Use of countercurrent shear layers for thrust vectoring of supersonic jets.
  •   Aeroacoustics of supersonic impinging jets and their control.
